2014 in review

Published December 30, 2014 by rochellewisoff

This is one of the things I really love about WordPress. It’s kind of fun to look back at the past year. As you can tell from the pattern most of my postings have been on Wednesday.

Thanks to all of the Friday Fictioneers and followers for a great year.

Here’s an excerpt:

Madison Square Garden can seat 20,000 people for a concert. This blog was viewed about 62,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Madison Square Garden, it would take about 3 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

    • Dear Jessie,

I love it that WordPress does this. I’m amazed at how Friday Fictioneers continues to grow. Your encouraging words make me smile. It’s a joint effort. Thank you for being a part of it.

    • Dear Suzanne,

It’s been a great year, hasn’t it? I return your pat on the back. You’re one who has helped Friday Fictioneers become what it has. It’s certainly not a solo act.

Thank you for your kind words and participation.

  • I am delighted to have found Friday Fictioneers, and full of admiration for you for taking on such a committment! Happy New Year. Maybe in 2015 your map will have a little blue dot over Tenerife!

  • Dear Liz,

Friday Fictioneers is all the richer, as am I, for your having found us. Although I’m not sure if it’s commitment or obsession.๐Ÿ˜‰

I’ve often thought I’d love to have a world map on the world with little pins for each Friday Fictioneer.I had a couple of pen-pals as a kid, one in Cardiff and another in South America. FF is all that and more.

Thank you for your encouraging words and for your participation.

    • Dear Elephant,

Because you’re up there among my favorite Friday Fictioneers, I hereby exonerate you. Since the murders have been literary, they are forgiven.

I’m looking forward to another great year.

      Shalom and Happy New Year,

    • Dear Archon,

I’m happy to provide a venue for your stretches. I guess to some I’d fall right with you in the old fogey category. However, like Miss Jean Brodie, I consider myself to be in my prime. We’re not old we just have more grist for the writing mill. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

      Happy New Year and Shalom,

  • And so, another year of awesomeness came to a close and it was time to acknowledge what had kept me coming back for more all those many weeks. Friday Fictioneers, a wonderful thing, a marvel really, people all over the planet connected by a single endeavor.
We encouraged each other to stretch our imaginations 100 words at a time. In story after story, throughout the year, we shared hopes, fears, laughter, and tears; the stuff of life. Then in a flash, it was 2015. Rochelle, you made it all possible. Thank you for the support and inspiration. Happy New Year!

  • Rochelle, what a most excellent year! Thanks for all your encouragement throughout the year and for making Friday Fictioneers such a rewarding experience each week. Thanks for all your hard work. Best wishes for the New Year! It came so fast.

    • Dear Amy,

Your participation is one of the things that makes Friday Fictioneers so rewarding for me. It does seem like 2014 sped by. (For me on broken toes.๐Ÿ˜‰ )

I’m grateful for our global community. Thanks for being part of it.

Shalom and a Happy New Year,
